The first few days can look different from the settled result
Swelling and bruising are common after dermal filler. The treated area can look more changed immediately afterwards than it will once swelling has settled, so early appearance should not be treated as the final result.

What can be expected after treatment?
Swelling
The treated area can look fuller or feel slightly puffy for a period after treatment. The amount varies between people and treatment areas.
Bruising

When to contact the clinic promptly
Vascular complications are uncommon but serious. Contact the clinic promptly if you have severe pain, blanching or a mottled change in skin colour. If you become seriously unwell or need urgent medical attention, use the appropriate NHS emergency service rather than waiting for a routine review.

Swelling and bruising can temporarily alter facial balance, so allow the area time to settle before judging the result.
